08.03.2012 Extended support for Samsung Android devices |
Last autumn Capricode and Samsung signed an agreement (Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program) for developing extended mobile device management support for all Samsung Android devices. We are happy to announce that the first batch of features is nearly ready and will be the main topic in our next release coming out in March. Samsung has given us great support and they have opened many opportunities for MDM with this agreement.
The first batch of special features will include some vital additions for Android MDM. The important Mail for Exchange support for Samsung Android devices is now being added to SyncShield, and security is enhanced by VPN configuration options and certificate installation support. Device screen capture and remote control have previously been possible for only Symbian and Windows Mobile devices due to platform restrictions, however now Samsung devices can also be controlled remotely allowing neat management options.
The features that the Samsung partnership has provided us with, will be developed during this year and we will be providing them to SyncShield users in a steady flow. Of course we are looking forward to such comprehensive development options across the whole Android platform, lets see how the future unfolds.
Example features for Samsung Android devices coming out in March
• Exchange account management
• Device screen capture and remote control
• Certificate installation support
• VPN configuration
• Silent application install
Capricode is constantly looking for companies interested in providing SyncShield as a service for their customers. If you are interested in our product and would like to discuss about partnership, please contact us at sales (at) capricode.com.
