Capricode has released a new 3.5 version of its SyncShield® mobile device management solution.
SyncShield® mobile device management version 3.5 is now released. The new SyncShield® 3.5 includes a versatile set of new features that make the enterprise’s device management even more efficient than before and widen the IT management’s abilities to comprehensively control the device fleet. In addition, special attention has been given to the mobile device management implementation, which is made much easier in the new version. With the improved implementation it is possible to maximise the total benefits of mobile device management in enterprises

The new version of SyncShield® enables a virtually effortless, automated and comprehensive smartphone and PDA management. In SyncShield® product development the most important aim has been to create easy tools for enterprises’ daily mobile device management. Therefore when developing the product, the emphasis has been in improving the usability and in those features that can make device management as easy as possible for both the enterprises and service providers.
Due to the new version, enterprises have now improved abilities to control their employees’ device usage and ensure the device security in all situations. For example the usage of Bluetooth, a camera and Wlan, as well as adding of access points can be disabled centrally. In addition, the device’s security code query can be set on and the activation time defined to Nokia’s devices. The updating of the device firmware over-the-air can also be denied, which guarantees the stability of enterprises’ device platforms. Enterprises can then have controlled firmware updates after internal testing. These new features notably improve the device security and ensure that the confidential information in devices is not lost.
The improved reporting features and the new possibility to automate device management operations through chained tasks, make it possible to relieve the device administrator’s work significantly. In addition, the installation of SyncShield® client application is simplified so now requires only few clicks at the device end. The client application can also be pre-installed and with the pre-installed client the device management can be activated by accepting the device management with one click.

SyncShield® mobiililaitteiden etähallintatuotteen uusi 3.5 -versio on nyt julkaistu Uusi SyncShield® 3.5 sisältää monipuolisen kokonaisuuden uusia ominaisuuksia, jotka tehostavat yritysten laitehallintaa entisestään, sekä laajentavat yritysten IT hallinnon mahdollisuuksia kontrolloida älypuhelimia yhä kokonaisvaltaisemmin. Lisäksi erityishuomiota on kiinnitetty laitehallinan käyttöönottoon, jota on helpotettu uudessa versiossa huomattavasti. Helpomman käyttöönoton avulla voidaan maksimoida laitehallinnan kokonaishyöty yrityksissä.
Uusi SyncShield® -versio mahdollistaa yrityksille entistä vaivattomamman, automatisoidumman ja kokonaisvaltaisen laitteiden hallinnan. SyncShieldin® jatkokehittämisen tärkeimpänä pyrkimyksenä on luoda helppo työkalu mobiililaitteiden päivittäisiin hallintatarpeisiin. Tällöin tuotteen kehittämisessä keskitytään erityisesti käytettävyyteen sekä niihin ominaisuuksiin, jotka ovat helpottavat tällä hetkellä yritysten älypuhelinhallintaa kaikista eniten.
Organisaatioilla on uuden version myötä myös paremmat edellytykset kontrolloida työntekijöiden mobiililaitteiden käyttöä ja varmistaa puhelinten turvallisuus kaikissa tilanteissa. Esimerkiksi Bluetoothin, kameran ja Wlanin käyttö, sekä yhteysosoitteiden lisääminen voidaan nyt estää keskitetysti. Lisäksi puhelimen suojakoodin kysely voidaan pakottaa päälle, sekä määrittää tarvittava suojakoodin aktivoitumisviive yrityksen mobiililaitteisiin. Myös Nokian puhelimien natiivikryptausta voidaan hallita nyt SyncShieldillä®. Näillä ominaisuuksilla voidaankin parantaa puhelinten turvallisuutta huomattavasti ja varmistaa, että puhelimen sisältämät tiedot eivät joudu vääriin käsiin.
Parannetuilla raportointiominaisuuksilla, sekä mahdollisuudella automatisoida laitehallintatoimia esimerkiksi puhelimen käyttöönottovaiheessa luomalla valmiita laitehallintatehtäväketjuja, voidaan helpottaa laitteiden hallitsijan työtä entisestään. Lisäksi clientsovelluksen asennus on uudessa versiossa todella helppoa ja vaatii enää loppukäyttäjältä muutaman napin painalluksen. Clientsovellus on mahdollista myös esiasentaa valmiiksi puhelimiin, jolloin laitehallinnan aktivoiminen uusiin laitteisiin vaatii loppukäyttäjältä vain hyväksynnän yhdellä napinpainalluksella.
